You have read through the Art of War and perhaps practised a few pointers drawn from the lines of that great writing. You may have even read for a third time the 48 Laws of Power. What about my favourite that is The Three Musketeers? In this you come out with a cunning demeanor that drives you to outwit your opponents and succeed in winning contests.
Let us see how it works in life and how correct deployment of its arsenal really get their targets. It is useful and effective only to have a weapon and know how and when to use it. 'Fakes' or 'fake' is as strong a weapon as the actual shot that it preludes but that prelusion must be there and follow in good time. Think of a karate class or a Bruce Lee or jackie Chan show when he throws his fists five times towards the target but only hit on the sixth. He moves as if he is hitting the opponent in the face but strike his underbelly.
You are playing darts and your opponent shouts 'marker' then he wins on his next dart. While tha marker dart helps to set a target, the fakes in other aspects deflect the defender's (opponent) attention from the opponent's desired target.
I intended this to explain how 'fakes' work in the football pitch. Digest the following two scenarios. One, a leopard is able to carry its cubs to safety, the manlike apes can swing their babies over and protect them from attacks, an elephant uses its mighty size to protect its calf and a kangaroo has a deep pouch. But how does a kid of a phyisically defenseless ruminant like a gazelle manage to survive from an exposed birth to adulthood? On this day the kid is suckling and the mother spots a hyena who has just picked their scent. Do you know how the mother protects it?
And what would you do if you wanted to access the cell of your kidnapped love heavily guarded by two no-nonsense soldiers, a Chinese Chu and Irish Blue, who only responds to the call of their names by their commander (they do not talk) with orders to shoot to death on sight anyone who tries to come in through the only entrance to the cell. Nothing can defeat them on a combat and you do not have that better weapon. There is a swimming pool full of water on the left side of the entrance to the cell. The area is rocky and escaping by any means is difficult and can only be done if you have the special boots that only Chu and Blue have. Say it is Guantanamo and you are from the Axis of Evil. How would you rescue your kidnapped love?
I will continue.

Back Passes
Back passes are made by players who do not have drive to attack, torment and anihilate opponents. A backpass takes the ball further away from the opponents goal and reduces the probability of a goal for your team in the near time. It is a change of plan and another must be launched again.
Tell your players to always have six options whenever they get the ball 1. pass forward 2. play forward 3. maintain your line 4. pass forward 5. play forward 6. maintain your line. The ya re the only options that work all the times.
Cristiano Ronaldo, Freddie Lungberg, Mark Overmas, Ashley Young, Armando Maradona, Silvatore Schilasi were always 'forward ever backward never' type of players.
Have a foward focus today won't you?

Optimism, Pessimism or both?
We are encouraged to always be positive. That you are better off being optimistic than accepting scents of pessimisms whenever you smell them. But you realize that when the situation points at a bad thing you may well save yourself gross unexpected results by admitting that the things could be just as bad as they are feared.
Yesterday Luckson advised us that some problem we are likely facing in the project and the timeline we are working on, considering the expected deliverables, it might not be wise to maintain confidence on fixing the problem before 13.00hrs but to consider contingent measures that can optionally take us through to our deliverables.
It has come to pass that it is now 13.03hrs and the resolution process is yet to start because the incident point of the problem can not be accessed. So, may be Maragia was right to ask that given the time constraints the actioning officers should sleep out on the problem and fix it way before deadline.
Open your ears and see what you want your eyes to see but also send a glance to what you want to avoid seeing just to have an opinion of how what you are avoiding looks like.
